How To Make Twilight In The Garden Quilt From Fons And Porter

MQ10915

Hello Friends, I hope you have had a blessed Thanksgiving weekend!  I took a few days off to spend with my little family, and we had a sweet time together.  I told you I would be doing photo shoots of my featured magazine quilts after my most recent trip, and I had been.  First up, we haveTwilight Trellisthat was featured in the September/October 2015 issue ofMcCall's Quilting.

I love this quilt!  It is made with Chambray Rosefabrics from Windham.

A big reason I love this quilt is because it is a simple-to-construct quilt, and the secondary design turns up a few Sawtooth Stars.  You know how I just adore Sawtooth Stars!  You may clickhereandhere to check out my quest for ways of using Sawtooth Star blocks in my designs.

Another reason why I love this quilt is the use of stripes in the design.

I was happy to have the help of sample maker Jennifer Green to piece the quilt top for me, and quilter Sheri Zalar to quilt the quilt.  As much as I try to make all my featured quilts, I am glad there are quilt angels out there to make my quilts happen when I am pressed for time.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing Twilight Trellis!  It's been an absolute honor and pleasure to be able to share my designs with you!!  Here is a sneak peek of more magazine quilts I will be sharing with you… you did notice the quilt on the left has Sawtooth Stars, yes? :)

For the first time, life is taking on a more normal routine since Fall Quilt Market in Houston.  I am cherishing the normals in my life at the moment.  I know I still owe you an announcement of the winner of a giveaway I hosted quite a few weeks ago.  I haven't forgotten – I hope to get to it before the week ends.  And with that,  I bid you adios for now!  Till next time – Happy Monday and Happy Week to you all! p.s.  Can you believe there are still leaves on the trees?
